Common questions for this industry.
Does OmniLink satisfy CFPB language-access expectations?
OmniLink is one component of a CFPB-aligned language-access program. The CFPB expects mortgage originators and consumer-finance providers to take reasonable steps to provide meaningful language access. We give you a documented posture, audit logs, and language coverage — combined with your qualified-interpreter and translated-document policies, it forms the program. We are happy to walk through it with your compliance team.
What about GLBA Safeguards Rule?
OmniLink's posture is aligned with the GLBA Safeguards Rule: encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and audit logging, vendor due diligence on every subprocessor, incident response, and risk-based safeguards. We sign DPAs with our subprocessors and the equivalent of a BAA for non-PHI data on request.
Recorded-line considerations?
OmniLink captures dual-party consent at the start of every session as part of the standard flow. Recordings (when retained per your configured retention) are stored in your US-only workspace and accessible only to authorized users. For state-specific call-recording laws (e.g., California's all-party consent), the consent flow is configurable per workspace.
Can we use this for broker-dealer client conversations?
For routine client conversations — annual reviews, account-maintenance, RMD planning — yes. For situations requiring a documented record under FINRA or SEC rules, treat OmniLink output as supporting documentation alongside your standard recordkeeping, and use a qualified interpreter where the rule requires one (sworn affidavits, regulator interviews).
What about beneficiary calls? Those can be emotionally sensitive.
OmniLink is well-suited for beneficiary calls — the sub-second latency keeps the conversation flowing while the agent stays focused on the human moment. For very sensitive situations (death claims, large lump-sum decisions), we still recommend documenting that the beneficiary had the option of a qualified human interpreter and confirming key amounts in writing afterward.
