For legal & immigration practices

Confidentiality-tight · Privileged-session posture

Interpretation that respects privilege. From intake to consultation.

Client intake, immigration interview prep, deposition prep, family-law consultations, real-estate closings. OmniLink covers the live conversation with the confidentiality and audit posture your bar association expects.

OmniLink is not a certified court interpreter. Use a credentialed court interpreter for sworn testimony and live court proceedings.

Where teams use OmniLink

Built for the conversations you have every day.

New-client intake

First conversation with a non-English-speaking prospect. Run the full intake, capture the facts, and bring a written transcript into the case file.

Immigration interview prep

Asylum, U-visa, T-visa, and naturalization interview preparation. Rehearse the narrative with your client before USCIS or EOIR.

Deposition prep

Pre-deposition witness preparation with the client. (Not for live sworn testimony — engage a certified court interpreter for that.)

Family-law mediation prep

Mediation rehearsal, parenting-plan walkthroughs, and divorce-document review with the non-English-speaking spouse.

Real-estate closings

Walkthrough of closing documents, settlement statements, and disclosures with a non-English-speaking buyer or seller.

Estate planning consultations

Will and trust review with the testator. Capture acknowledgments in their language; route the executed document to your DMS.

Compliance & integration

The posture your bar review will accept.

OmniLink is built around legal practice expectations — confidentiality, work-product preservation, US-only data residency, and explicit acknowledgment that AI output is assistive, not a substitute for a certified court interpreter.

Compliance posture

  • Confidentiality-tight: Session Content is the Customer's confidential information; vendors contractually barred from training on it.
  • Privileged-session posture: audit log on every access; no OmniLink staff routine access to Session Content.
  • US-only data residency. No overseas processing.
  • Explicit "not a certified court interpreter" disclaimer in our Terms of Use — defensible for bar inquiries about scope.
  • Configurable retention aligned with your firm's document-retention policy and legal-hold workflow.
  • AI training restriction: no Customer Session Content trains any public or shared model.
  • Audit log on consent capture, sign-in/out, role changes, integration grants, and data-subject requests.

Vertical FAQ

Common questions for this industry.

Can I use OmniLink as the interpreter for a deposition or court hearing?

No. Sworn testimony, depositions, and court proceedings require a certified court interpreter under your local rules — OmniLink is not certified. Use OmniLink for pre-deposition prep with your client, post-deposition debriefs, and the dozens of routine pre-trial conversations where a court-certified interpreter would be overkill.

How does this affect attorney-client privilege?

OmniLink is a service provider that processes Session Content on the firm's behalf under a contractual confidentiality obligation. Most jurisdictions treat AI-assisted interpretation as analogous to a paralegal or contract interpreter — privilege is generally preserved provided the firm has a written agreement (we provide one), the vendor doesn't access the content for any other purpose (we don't), and the client consents to the assist (our consent flow captures this). Confirm with your local bar.

Will the transcripts hold up if subpoenaed?

OmniLink retains audit logs of every session — actor, timestamp, consent capture, approval. The Customer (firm) owns the Session Content and is responsible for production. If you need an export, we provide a structured archive including transcripts, AI notes, audit history, and (if retained) audio.

What about immigration applicants who don't speak K'iche', Pular, or other rare languages?

OmniLink lists 90+ languages, each labelled by maturity. Haitian Creole is in Beta. Fula (Pulaar) is speak-only for now — OmniLink can speak it but does not yet transcribe it. The immigration pack — K'iche' and Hassaniya Arabic — is in development and not yet available in the product. Email us about your specific language need and we'll tell you exactly where we are with quality, vendor coverage, and timeline.

Can my paralegals use OmniLink without me on the call?

Yes — workspace admins decide who can start sessions, who can approve and lock transcripts, and who can configure delivery destinations. Every action is audit-logged with the actor's identity.
